Use Instructions:

Congratulations on your purchase of the SOS Charger!   The SOS Charger is designed as an emergency power source to charge batteries in your wireless phone.   Simply crank the charger for 3 minutes and get 2 to 8 minutes of connectivity!*   You can also use the unit as an emergency light source by cranking the handle to activate the built-in LED.

Instructions: Telephone Charging

Step 1:   Please take a moment to find your adapter.   The cable is the default connector and is designed for use with a Nokia® brand phone--you will not require an additional adapter for Nokia® phones.

Step 2:   Connect the adapter for your model phone to one end of the cable and insert the other end into the SOS Charger, as illustrated below.

Step 3:   Connect the adapter's exposed end into your wireless phone's charging port--this is usually the same location where you plug the a/c adapter or cigarette lighter adapter in most cases.   Please consult your wireless phone's manual for details.

Step 4:   Hold the charger in one hand and rotate the handle clockwise with your other hand.   Optimum rotation rate is 2.5 circles per second.   3-minutes at this rate will gain you up to 8 minutes of phone communication.   Do not rotate the handle too fast--it will not gain you increased charging time, and will lower the life of the charger.

*Tip: If you feel the charger become hot, you may be rotating the handle too quickly. If the unit should become hot, stop rotating the handle.

Instructions: Emergency Light

Step 1:   If you have plugged the charging cable in to the charger, remove the cable from the charger.

Step 2:   Rotate the handle in a clockwise direction at the rate of 1.5 turns per second.   The LED will light.
